Oxnard, CA – A 39-year-old Oxnard man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in what police are investigating as a homicide.

According to the Oxnard Police Department (OPD), officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of H Street and Second Street, just blocks away from the city’s main public library and the site of the future Campus Park. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
