Tragedy in Oxnard
According to the Oxnard Police Department, witnesses claimed a man was assaulted by several other people in a violent altercation before the 57-year-old man was left lying vulnerable in the street. Before anyone could help him or traffic be stopped, the attackers fled the scene, and the man was run over by at least two passing vehicles on East Hueneme Road. By the time first responders arrived at the scene, the man had tragically passed away from blunt force trauma. Both drivers who hit him remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
