According to investigators at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, two motorcycles were traveling eastbound on Highway 111 when one of them struck a pedestrian crossing the road. The motorcyclist was then thrown into the westbound lanes before a truck traveling westbound struck the motorcycle and veered into the median, hitting two people who were providing aid to the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, pedestrian, and a person providing assistance all died at the scene. Another was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital.
