Bio SoCal was called upon to assist with the crime scene cleanup at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Oxnard following a devastating and senseless act of violence. Our team was honored to help restore a sense of safety and dignity to the sacred space and to support the community during this heartbreaking time.
On the morning of June 4, 66-year-old Davy Glen Pichel was found deceased outside the church, near his wheelchair. According to public reports, Mr. Pichel was attacked while he slept beside the church’s side entrance. Surveillance footage showed two teenagers allegedly returning multiple times to beat and stomp the victim. Authorities confirmed that the teenagers, ages 14 and 15, have since been charged with murder.
This horrific event has deeply impacted the parish and local residents, and our hearts go out to all who knew and cared for Mr. Pichel. At Bio SoCal, we understand that our work is not only about cleaning physical spaces but also about aiding emotional recovery in the wake of tragedy.
We approach every scene with compassion, respect, and the utmost discretion. Our team is specially trained to handle the most difficult situations, ensuring that affected areas are safely restored and that those grieving can begin the process of healing.
